Daily Habits & Routines
HEALTH REALLY IS WEALTH
After nearly a week of being ill from a 🤮💩 bug it’s been nice to get back to feeling my normal self again finally (almost felt like it would never come at points 😆).
Upon reflection I’m sooo grateful for my health. Physically & Mentally!!
Being out of action for so long, not being able to go to work, play with the kids, help around the house, work out and the other daily tasks and routines that keep me sane and you take for granted, it’s easy for the negativity and self doubt to creep in. Which it did!!
We often coin the phrase “Health Is Wealth” in conversations, but it’s only when your health is in decline and your begging for the normal you back that you really appreciate this phrase.
Anyway, we’re back at it today. Work out smashed , house cleaned , supplements taken, kids are getting taken out for a nice long walk soon 🙌🏽
So grateful to be able to achieve all this again 🤪😃🫶🏽
My Morning Boost With Celtic Sea Salt Water 🧂
Every morning, I have a little ritual that sets a positive tone for my day. I mix a pinch of Celtic sea salt into a glass of water. It might sound simple, but it’s become one of my favourite ways to kickstart my mornings
Celtic sea salt is loaded with essential minerals like magnesium and potassium, which my body appreciates. Adding it to my water not only helps me stay hydrated but also gives me a nice boost of electrolytes. It’s amazing how such a small change can make me feel so much more energized and focused.
I genuinely look forward to this moment each day now. It’s a little act of self care that reminds me to prioritise my health right from the start. If you’re looking for an easy way to enhance your morning routine, i highly recommend giving this a go 😃
Lately I’ve been getting into books that help me make sense of my mind — psychology, emotions, all that good stuff. Just trying to learn better ways to stay grounded when life gets a bit wild.
Finished Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Dr. Julie Smith recently... such a good read 🙌 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Why-Nobody-Told-This-Before/dp/0241529719
Would love to know what books everyone is reading or any recommendations?
I’ve been going in my ice bath for nearly two years. I try do at least 3 times a week and the temperature varies from 4° to 8° and I like to do at least 3 minutes.
On days when my mind is overwhelmed this always instantly settles me and the feeling afterward is amazing. Its really helped me be a lot more calm and relaxed throughout the day and helping me multitask a lot easier.
Anyone else into cold plunges? Would love to see your set ups or if anyone is thinking about trying it let me know if you have any questions?
